ABSTRACT: This report analyses global and regional trends for 2016-2025 and supports IRC's development of a new strategy centred on the SDGs. It examines 11 trends that will impact on the achievability of SDG6 is particular, such as rapid growth in migration and urbanisation, worsening water security and worsening gaps in WASH services despite better access overall.
Trend #6 examines the rise of domestic resource mobilisation for development, and is closely related to Trend #9 - the continued inadequacy and unsustainability of WASH finance.
